14. have a best friend from another country and keep in touch

in this particular bucket list item (now crossed out, yay!!) I actually met two people that are now very close friends of mine, who both live in different countries. I met them both at a camp that I help out with. well, actually, I just do everyone's dishes haha(: Well, Romain du Marais lives in France, and can play the guitar like a straight up boss. of course all the songs he knows for guitar are in french so I don't really understand them.. but that's not the point! the fact is, he's really cool and so nice! we hung out all the time the weeks I was at camp, and we still talk all the time! that year I also met a girl from Spain named Maria Noriega Rodriguez-Ponga. that's kind of a mouthful, so we all just called her Luz. I think that's kind of a weird name, but in Spain its a really common nickname. Her English wasn't fantastic because she was well, spanish, but it didn't matter. It actually was kind of funny to see her mess up all of her english words! she is probably one of the sweetest people I know, and we still talk! I miss both of these people like crazy, and I can't wait to see all of them next summer!
